CHORAL ARRANGEMENT WORKSHOP

For choral conductors and singers as well as for music educators, the ability to make effective choral arrangements is essential to meet a variety of musical and pedagogical goals, including: Performing a wide variety of musical styles, adapting a score to the skill level of your students, generate an identity for your group through the repertoire or simply recompose a work in order to express a new sound discourse.

Throughout this choral arrangement workshop, we will focus on various contents that help us transform popular songs into choral interpretations that meet your own needs, these contents are: Musical fundamentals for arrangers, vocal and instrumental orchestration, creative harmonization, the use of the text and its different expressions; adaptation of musical genres, interpretation of the choral arrangement and analysis of extracts from the most iconic arrangements of choral music. The main objective of this workshop is to offer participants the opportunity to improve their ability to transform songs into choral performances with their own creative musical language.

Tanto para directores de coro y coreutas como para educadores musicales, la habilidad de realizar arreglos corales efectivos es esencial para cumplir distintos objetivos musicales y pedagógicos, como lo son: Interpretar una amplia variedad de géneros musicales, adaptar alguna obra al nivel de habilidad de tus estudiantes, generar una identidad para tu agrupación a través del repertorio o simplemente recomponer alguna obra con la finalidad de expresar un nuevo discurso sonoro, entre varios otros motivos.

A lo largo de este taller de arreglo coral, nos centraremos en diversos contenidos que nos ayuden a transformar canciones populares en interpretaciones corales que cumplan con tus propias necesidades, estos contenidos son: Fundamentos musicales para arreglistas, instrumentación vocal e instrumental, armonización creativa, el uso del texto y sus distintas expresiones; adaptación de géneros musicales, interpretación del arreglo coral y análisis de extractos de arreglos más icónicos de la música coral. El principal objetivo del presente taller es ofrecer a los participantes la oportunidad de perfeccionar su capacidad de transformar canciones en interpretaciones corales con un lenguaje musical propio y creativo.
