MÉXICO EN LA VOZ: MEXICAN MUSIC ADAPTED TO CHOIR

Thanks to the vast musical belonging of the country, today we have the opportunity to explore various musical genres with invaluable cultural richness such as son huasteco, son jarocho, son cardenche, son oaxaqueño and other styles of traditional music that reflect the history and mexican identity. Through the choir, we are able to take this musical heritage to new heights, fusing a cappella music with different traditional mexican melodies and rhythms.

This workshop is an invitation to conductors and choristers to immerse themselves in the beauty of mexican music and learn how to interpret it in an authentic and moving way. Within the workshop we will address a repertoire selected and adapted by different mexican arrangers, techniques of expression and emotion; pronunciation and diction; interpretation of mexican genres, and the cultural context of each of the selected scores. The main objective of the workshop is to prepare the participants to interpret with authenticity and passion the emblematic songs of traditional Mexican music for different audiences around the world.

MÉXICO EN LA VOZ: MÚSICA MEXICANA ADAPTADA A CORO

Gracias a la vasta pertenencia musical del país, hoy nos encontramos con la oportunidad de explorar diversos géneros musicales con una riqueza cultural invaluable como el Son Huasteco, Son Jarocho, Son Cardenche, Son Oaxaqueño y demás estilos de música tradicional que reflejan la historia y la identidad de México. A través del coro, podemos llevar esta herencia musical a nuevas alturas, fusionando la música a cappella con distintas melodías y ritmos tradicionales de México.

Este taller es una invitación a directores y coreutas a sumergirse en la belleza de la música mexicana y aprender cómo interpretarla de manera auténtica y conmovedora. Dentro del taller abordaremos repertorio seleccionado y adaptado por distintos arreglistas mexicanos, técnicas de expresión y emoción; pronunciación y dicción; interpretación de géneros mexicanos, y el contexto cultural de cada una de las obras seleccionadas. El objetivo principal del taller es preparar a los participantes para interpretar con autenticidad y pasión las canciones emblemáticas de la música tradicional mexicana para los distintos públicos alrededor del mundo.
